The first Thematic Working Groups (TWG) meeting for Nigeria's co-created Third National Action Plan held at The Reiz Continental Hotel Abuja on 3rd and 4th August, 2023.
In her address, Dr. Gloria K. Ahmed, OGP National Coordinator, welcomed all to the meeting and reminded members of the TWG of the importance of the working groups in the effective implementation of national action plans. "The TWGs are the engine rooms of OGP implementation in Nigeria" she stated. She went further to appreciate the contributions of the Partnership to Engage, Reform and Learn (PERL), Accountability Lab and other partners for supporting OGP Nigeria in championing the engagement.
The meeting saw members of the various TWGs led by their respective Co-Chairs, engaged in enriching discussions and planning as regards the implementation of NAP III. This engagement resulted in the development of strategic work plans for the different working groups, which includes planned actions and expected outcomes. The session also gave both State and Non-State Actor members the opportunity to familiarise with each other in pursuit of the effective implementation of the action plan in focus.
The meeting was attended by the Non-State Actors Co-Chair, Mrs Obialunanma Nnaobi-Ayodele; the OGP National Coordinator, Dr. Gloria K. Ahmed; TWG Co-Chairs of State and Non-State Actors; and other members of the various Thematic Working Groups.
